Disney’s Awesome Things #9: Remembering Where You Parked the Car

#9 When you get to the parks in the morning, you’re refreshed and ready for a new day’s adventure, right? In contrast, at the end of the day, we are tired, worn out, and ready to sit down in our waiting car.
But where was it parked? Every time I visit the parks, I see families forget where they parked the car. Either they were so excited in the morning, they forgot to look and listen, or throughout the day they got too caught up in the parks and forgot.
How can one prevent this? Well, there are a few moves I use. First, try to remember without any help. Chances are, someone in your group will remember the name of the section, someone else will remember the number, etc.
If you don’t want to take your chances with that, you can always make it a note on your cell phone – that way, no matter what you can’t loose it. Just don’t loose your cell phone.
P.S. - I’m leaving for WDW today, so I should be prepared for the parking section memory game. I’ll be returning Sunday, so be sure to leave your comments in the mean time. Have you forgotten where the car was parked? I’d love to hear your stories!

WDW Central is always open to awesome guest posts.

I always do the picture on my phone of where we’re parked. On Christmas day of ’07 we went to Epcot and did a full day, got there right at rope drop, stayed until just a few minutes before close…and I had no idea where we parked when we went to find the car! We took the tram, got off where I *thought it was…no luck, so had to WALK back to the front and I was freaking out. Finally a cast member tells me we had to go over one more section; this was after me describing to him how we walked in that morning. He then told me that the Epcot parking lot is the second biggest in the US, only one bigger is Mall of America, so I didn’t feel as bad, but my family still likes to remind me of it from time to time lol.

Haha that’s verey funny Melissa! Well, you knew your family wouldn’t let you hear the end of that one, now didn’t you?! =P
Thanks for sharing, that’s definitely a lesson well learned. Props to the cast member who helped you out and made you feel better about it too.
(P.S. Thanks again for the Haunted Mansion breakdown pics, I forwarded them to some of my friends!)
Thanks again for sharing! =)

haha it’s true! I know if it were someone else, I would give them a hard time as well! I was VERY happy though for the awesome cast member who made me feel a little better about it though.
No problem to the photos!! I have hundreds of photos from around the parks. Living only 40 minutes away, I tend to go a lot of times by myself and just take photos.
Hope you’re having a good time today! Wish I were at the parks today!!

Thanks Melissa! I’m already back (I live 2.5 hours away, so we take quick trips down there too) – I had an awesome time.
