The Great Dole Whip Debate 2008
A major vote is upon us here in the U.S.A. We’re being warned that we could face waits of 2 – 4 hours at the Polls on election day leading one to wonder, if it is this popular, why FASTPASS isn’t available? I’ve received 4 recorded political messages today alone along with one real live human calling asking me if they can count on my vote for the candidate I’m not voting for.
Since it is our time to make decisions that will affect history, I’m on my soapbox asking you to stand up and be counted:
Sprinkles – YES or NO – on your Dole Whip?
If you missed this section in your voter pamphlet, it’s okay. A Dole Whip is a “non-Dairy frozen pineapple flavored soft-serve product”. That phrase – while being technically accurate – fails to capture the joy your tastebuds experience when introduced to a Dole Whip. There are other flavors but you don’t really need them; the pineapple is “practically perfect in every way” on a hot, humid Florida day. They’re available at Aloha Isle in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom. You can also get them at Captain Cook’s Snack Company at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This is an excellent use of one of your Disney Magic Your Way Dining Plan snack credits.
Arguments for Sprinkles: Proponents state that sprinkles are colorful and fun – small children, in their innocence and purity, are almost universally united in their endorsement of sprinkles.
Arguments against Sprinkles: The opposition states that they taste like crayon shavings and sugar and detract from the smoothness of the of the soft-serve experience.
